Hubungan Dukungan Sosial dengan Motivasi Belajar Remaja SMK Swasta Dwiwarna Medan

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between social support and motivation to learn adolescents at the School SMK Swasta Dwiwarna Medan. In this study using quantitative research methods. The subjects in this study were 50 adolescents at the School SMK Swasta Dwiwarna Medan. With the sampling technique that is Simple. Research data was collected using a scale of Social Support and Learning Motivation. Data analysis was done by product moment correlation technique. And from the results of the analysis show that the teenagers who became the study sample had learning motivation in the high category, this can be seen from the mean empirical results with results of 89.68 greater than the hypothetical mean of 72.5, while for the hypothetical mean social support variable of 73.24 greater than from the empirical mean of 57.5, and also with the results of the correlation coefficient (rxy) of rxy = 0.656 and determinant coefficient (r2) of r2 = 0.431 which means social support has a weight of contribution to learning motivation of 43.1% which is in the high category.
