Hubungan antara Komunikasi Interpersonal dengan Keharmonisan Keluarga di Kelurahan Perdamean Kecamatan Rantau Selatan

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between interpersonal communication and family harmony in Perdamean sub-district, South Rantau sub-district. The sample in this study were women and men who were married in the age range of 20 years - 40 years totaling 60 people. Based on the theoretical description, the hypothesis of this study is stated that there is a relationship between interpersonal communication and family harmony. Assuming the better interpersonal communication in the family, the more harmonious the family is. And conversely the worse interpersonal communication, the less harmonious the family is. To prove the hypothesis above, the data analysis method used is the Product Moment Correlation Analysis, which is based on the results of the analysis obtained as follows: 1). There is a positive relationship between interpersonal communication and family harmony. This result is evidenced by the correlation coefficient rxy = 0.715; p, 0,000. 2). The effect of interpersonal communication on family harmony based on data analysis in this study was 51.2%. 3). From the analysis of interpersonal communication research is classified as very good, because the empirical mean value obtained is 76.63, the difference with the hypothetical mean value is 60 and family harmony is high with 87.53 empirical mean difference with the hypothetical mean is 67.5 .
