Abstract

This research is a qualitative research to examine Therapeutic Communication of Cardiologists in RSUP. H. Adam Malik Medan. The purpose of this study was to find out how the pre-interaction process, orientation process, work process, and heart doctor termination process in RSUP. H. Adam Malik Medan. Where pre-interaction is the initial registration process for a patient who will start treatment at RSUP. H. Adam Malik Medan, the Orientation Process is the initial process of meeting between patients and doctors to do treatment about a disease that is in the patient's body, the Work Process is a process that is carried out by a doctor to determine whether or not the heart disease is in the patient's body with using tools, the Termination Process is a process where treatment or treatment of patients will be completed, and usually doctors with patients will feel the loss of each other after the treatment process is complete The theory used in this study include therapeutic communication theory, interpersonal communication theory, and effective theory . The method used is a qualitative method. Where the information in this study is cardiologist in RSUP. H. Adam Malik Medan, and patients affected by heart disease in RSUP. H. Adam Malik Medan. Data collection techniques were carried out by interviewing heart doctors and patients with heart disease. The results showed that communication or services were carried out at RSUP. H. Adam Malik Medan has a good impact on patients.
