Perancangan Medan Islamic Center dengan Tema Arsitektur Modern

Abstract

Medan Islamic Center with an emphasis on Modern Architecture is the center of the development of science, technology and Islamic da'wah used for religious activities. The Islamic Center's plan is intended to accommodate several Islamic supporting activities which consist of mu'amalah activities, da'wah and Islamic climates who follow modern times including technological knowledge that is developing at this time. The development of the religion sector that has been carried out since independent Indonesia has had an impact such as increasing the religious understanding of the community, the lively social religious activities or the increasing number of places of worship and the increasing number of pilgrims. The existence of the Medan Islamic Center is motivated by demands for better facilities along with the development of religious activities in Medan (Source: Medan City RUTRK, 2013), so that the Islamic Center facilities are expected to bridge the social life of the people with Islamic rules in the changing socio-cultural dynamics in the present era. The Islamic Center, which is a place for concentration of Islamic activities and development, as well as creative and noble community development, is also expected to increase aspirations and image and architecture in Indonesia, especially in Medan City.
