Abstract: The title of this research is the Role of da’wah messages on Instagram towards the increasing religious interest of the University of Medan Area Psychology students. This research is motivated by the large number of Psychology students at the university of Medan Area who migrated. As it is in cyberspace like Instagram has shown a lot of migration moves in da’wah accounts. The purpose of this study is to find out whether there is a role for da’wah messages on Instagram in increasing the interest of students who emigrated at the university area psychology faculty at the Medan Area. This research uses the theory of reasoned action. In collecting data researchers conducted observations on psychology student accounts that were active on the instagram and in-depth interviews with these students. This research uses qualitative research methodology with descriptive analysis. The researcher found three roles of instagram da’wah messages in increasing student interest in religion, namely changing perceptions and providing motivation and as advisors that reminded each day.
Description: Judul penelitian ini adalah Peranan Pesan Dakwah Di Instagram Terhadap Meningkatnya Minat Keagamaan Mahasiswa Psikologi UMA. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi karena banyaknya mahasiswa Psikologi UMA yang berhijrah. Seiring hal tersebut di dunia maya seperti instagram telah banyak menampilkan pergerakan hijrah dalam akun-akun dakwah. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah ada peran pesan dakwah di instagram dalam peningkatan minat mahasiswa yang berhijrah di kampus Psikologi UMA. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori tindakan beralasan. Dalam mengumpulkan data peneliti melakukan observasi terhadap akun mahasiswa Psikologi yang aktif di instagram dan wawancara mendalam dengan mahasiswa UMA. Penelitian ini menggunakan metodologi penelitian kualitatif dengan analisis deskriptif. Peneliti menemukan tiga peran pesan dakwah instagram dalam meningkatnya minat mahasiswa dalam beragama yaitu merubah persepsi dan memberikan motivasi serta sebagai penasehat yang mengingatkan setiap harinya.
