Efektifitas Keterbukaan Informasi Sistem Penilaian Akademik di Sekolah Tinggi Penyuluhan Pertanian (STPP) Medan

Abstract

College of Agricultural Extension (STPP) Medan as one of the universities owned by the Ministry of Agriculture has implemented an online academic scoring system using an application called the Academic Assessment System (SIPENAK). This system is implemented in line with the increasing nurr1ber of students eve1y year. The advantages that can be felt with this system is the ease of inputting value for the issuance of Study Result Card (KHS) and transcripts of value which is often published late because of lecturers who give the value is not timely and the number of limited operators. This study aims to determine the level of effectiveness information disclosure academic assessment system at the College of Agricultural Extension (STPP) Medan. The method used in this study is quantitative with descriptive approach, the population in this study were 514 students, with a total sample of 51 respondents. Data collection was done by observation, interview and questionnaire. Based on scores obtained on the results of research, showed that the application of academic information systems (SIAKAD) pertained in the criteria effective. Based on the questionnaire and the results of data analysis conducted it can be concluded: 1) That the effectiveness of information disclosure of academic appraisal system in Medan STPP pertained already effective. Although the quality of the system variables categorized as ineffective but the variable quality of information is categorized as very effective and 2) The constraints found primarily is the quality of the Internet that needs to be improved again as well as the number of operators that are not sufficient and improved application quality. Sekolah Tinggi Penyuluhan Pertanian (STPP) Medan sebagai salah satu perguruan tinggi milik Kementerian Pertanian telah menerapkan sistem penilaian akademik secara online dengan menggunakan aplikasi yang disebut dengan Sistem Penilaian Akademik (SIPENAK). Sistem ini diterapkan seiring dengan jumlah mahasiswanya yang semakin meningkat setiap tahun. Keuntungan yang dapat dirasakan dengan adanya sistem ini adalah kemudahan dalam penginputan nilai untuk penerbitan Kartu Hasil Studi (KHS) dan transkrip nilai yang selama ini sering terlambat dipublikasikan dikarenakan dosen yang memberikan nilai tidak tepat waktu serta jumlah operator yang terbatas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat efektifitas keterbukaan informasi sistem penilaian akademik di Sekolah Tinggi Penyuluhan Pertanian (STPP) Medan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan pendekatan deksriptif, populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa sebanyak 514 orang, dengan jumlal1 sampel sebanyak 51 responden. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara observasi, wawancara dan penyebaran angket. Berdasarkan skor yang didapat pada hasil penelitian, menunjukan bahwa penerapan sistem informasi akademik (SIAKAD) tergolong dalam kriteria efektif Berdasarkan kuisioner dan hasil analisis data yang dilakukan maka dapat disimpulkan: 1) Bahwa efektifitas keterbukaan infonnasi sistem penilaian akademik di STPP Medan tergolong sudah efektif Meskipun dari variabel kualitas sistem dikategorikan tidak efektif tetapi dari variabel kualitas informasi dikategorikan sangat efektif serta 2) Kendala-kendala yang ditemukan terutama adalal1 kualitas internet yang perlu ditingkatkan lagi serta jumlah operator yang belum mencukupi serta peningkatan kualitas aplikasi.
