Abstract: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan proses pembuatan pupuk kompos dari Daun Serasah, dengan melihat nilai NPK dari pupuk kompos. Tempat pengolahan Daun Serasah dilakukan di Rumah Kompos Universitas Medan Area. Untuk melakukan pengolahan Daun Serasah dimulai dari pengangkutan dan pengolahan sampah yang sudah diambil dari lingkungan Kampus Universitas Medan Area. Proses pengomposan tersebut dilakukan selama 6 minggu dengan menggunakan bantuan aktivator EM4. Dalam penelitian ini, akan dibuat aktivator berupa larutan EM4 dari berbagai macam-macam daun kering yang mudah di dapat di lingkungan Kampus Universitas Medan Area. Hasil uji kandungan unsur hara makro yang sudah dilakukan di Lab Baristand Industri Medan yaitu kadar Nitrogen total (N) (0,45%), kadar Fospor (P) (0,11%) dan Kalium (K) (27,3 mg/kg), dalam kompos ini telah memenuhi standar kualitas kompos yang sudah diatur dalam SNI 19-7030-2004. This study aims to perform the process of making compot from leaf litter by looking at the value of NPK and compost fertilizer. The place for processing Litter leaves is carried out in Compost House Medan Area University. To carry out leaf processing starting from the taking and processing of waste that has been taken from the environment of Medan Area University. The composting process was carried out for 6 weeks using the EM4 activator. In this study, an activator will be made in the form of an EM4 solucion from various kinds of dry leaves that are easily avaliable in the environment of Medan Area University. The results of tests formacronutrient content that have been carried out at the Industrial Baristand Laboratory in Medan, namely Total Nitrogen Levels N (0.45%), Phosphorus (P) (0.11%), and Potassium levels (K) (27.3 mg/kg), in this compost have fulfilled the compost quality standards that have been regulated in SNI-19-7030-2004. |
