Abstract: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat hubungan antara dukungan sosial dengan quarter life crisis pada mahasiswa tingkat akhir di Fakultas Psikologi Universitas Medan Area. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif, subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa psikologi stambuk 2018. Sampel yang digunakan yaitu 80 mahasiswa. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan total sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan skala likert. Skala dukungan sosial yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini dari Sarafino dan Smith (2012), dan skala quarter life crisis yang digunakan penelitian ini yang dibuat oleh Robbins dan Wilner (2001). Teknik analisis data menggunakan korelasi product moment. Hipotesis yang diajukan dalam penelitian ini yaitu adanya hubungan negatif antara dukungan sosial dengan quarter life crisis, dengan asumsi semakin tinggi dukungan sosial maka semakin rendah quarter life crisis begitu pula sebaliknya. Berdasarkan hasil analisis yang dilakukan, maka diperoleh hasil bahwa terdapat hubungan negatif antara dukungan sosial dengan quarter life crisis. Hal ini diketahui dengan melihat mean hipotetik dukungan sosial 57,5 dan quarter life crisis 90, kemudian mean empirik untuk dukungan sosial 50,13 dan quarter life crisis 105,55. Nilai atau koefisien dimana nilai atau koefisien yaitu - 0,724 dengan signifikansi sebesar p= 0.000 < 0.05 dengan bobot sumbangan 52,4%. Artinya hipotesis yang diajukan diterima semakin tinggi dukungan sosial maka semakin rendah quarter life crisis dinyatakan diterima. The purpose of this research was to find correlation between Social Support and Quarter Life Crisis of Final Year Students at Faculty of Psychology Medan Area University. This study uses the quantitative method, the subjects of this research all 2018 classes of Psychology Students at Medan Area University. The number of sample in this research were 80 students. The sampling techniques in this study used a Purposive Sampling Technique. The data collection method was Likert Scale. Social support scale used in this research was mad by Sarafino dan Smith (2012) and Quarter Life Crisis scale used in this research was made by Robbins and Wilner (2001). Data analysis technique used was Correlation Product Moment. The hypothesis propodes in this research were negative correlation between Social Support and Quarter Life Crisis assumption the higher Social Support was the lower Quarter life Crisis became and vice versa. Based on the result of the analysis, there indeed were negative correlation between Sosial Support and Quarter Life Crisis. The result were proved by hypothetical mean of Social Support on 57,5 and Quarter Life Crisis on 90, then empirical mean of social support on 50,13 and Quarter life Crisis 105,55. Value of coefficient which the coefficient was – 0,724 with p-value significance =0.000<0,05 with a contribution weight of 52,4%. Therefore the hypothesis that the higher Social Support was the lower Quarter Life Crisis was accepted. |
