Adversity quotient is an individual's ability to achieve success. Where a high adversity quotient will illustrate that individuals do not give up easily and always struggle to achieve goals. The focus of this research is to see the adversity quotient of the employees of the Binjai City Secretariat office and then busy with self-efficacy because one of the factors that can increase the adversity quotient in individuals is self-efficacy. The purpose of this study was to determine the strength, direction and significance of the correlation between self-efficacy and adversity quotient for employees of the Binjai City Secretariat office during the COVID-19 pandemic. Participants in this study found 94 people using the total sampling technique. This type of research is a quantitative research, where data collection uses two scales, namely the self-efficacy scale and the adversity quotient scale which will be processed with the help of the SPSS version 26 program for windows. The analysis uses Pearson correlation which must have the condition that the data must be normal. The results showed that there was a positive and significant correlation between self-efficacy and adversity quotient seen from the coefficient value (rxy) = 0.523 with p = 0.000 <0.050, meaning that the higher the self-efficacy of the employees of the Binjai City Secretariat office, the higher the adversity quotient. On the other hand, the lower the self-efficacy of the employees of the Binjai City Secretariat office, the lower the adversity quotient. So it can be said that there is a significant relationship between self-efficacy and adversity quotient for employees of the Binjai City Secretariat office.
