Hubungan Dukungan Sosial Dengan Self Esteem Pada Lansia

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat hubungan dukungan sosial dengan self esteem pada lansia di Dusun I Desa Sei Glugur. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah para lansia yang tinggal di Dusun I Desa Sei Glugur yang berjumlah 31 orang dengan 11 orang lansia pria dan 20 orang lansia wanita. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik Total Sampling. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan dua skala, yaitu skala Dukungan Sosial dan skala Self Esteem. Analisis data menggunakan teknik product moment dengan menggunakan komputerisasi program IBM SPSS versi 25.0 for windows. Berdasarkan hasil analisis product moment yaitu (r) sebesar r = 0,732, dan nilai signifikan p 0,001 (p<0,05), artinya ada hubungan yang signifikan positif antara dukungan sosial dan self esteem pada lansia di Dusun I Desa Sei Glugur dan menunjukkan bahwa semakin kuat dukungan sosial yang diterima, semakin kuat pula tingkat self-esteem pada lansia. Dukungan sosial dari keluarga, teman, dan orang terdekat memiliki peran penting dalam meningkatkan rasa percaya diri dan self esteem lansia. This research aims to examine the correlation social support and self-esteem in the elderly in Dusun I, Sei Glugur Village. The subjects of this research were elderly people who lived in Dusun I, Sei Gugur Village, totally 31 people, with 11 elderly men and 20 elderly women. The sampling technique employed was total sampling. Data collection was conducted using two scale: the social support scale developed and Sel-Esteem Scale. Data analysis was performed using the product-moment technique with the IBM SPSS version 25.0 for Windows. Based on the product-moment analysis, the correlation coefficient (r) was found to be r = 0,732, with a signifcant value of p 0,001 (p<0.05, indicating a significant positive correlation between social support and self-esteem among the elderly in Dusun I Sei Glugur Village. And show that the stronger the social support received, the stronger the level of self-esteemin the elderly. Personal support from family, friend, and people closet to them has an important role in increasing selfconfidence and sel-esteem in the elderly.
