Gambaran Komitmen Organisasi pada Karyawan di PDAM Tirtanadi Medan

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif deskriptif yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran komitmen organisasi pada karyawan di PDAM Tirtanadi Medan. Stephen P. Robbins dan Timothy A. Judge (2008), mengungkapkan bahwa terdapat tiga aspek yang mencirikan komitmen kerja, antara lain aspek komitmen afektif, asek komitmen bekelanjutan, dan aspek komitmen normatif. Aspek komitmen afektif merupakan perasaan emosional dan keyakinan-keyakinan dari anggota/karyawan terhadap nilai-nilai dan tujuan dari perusahaan, rasa ikut sebagai bagian dari organisasi, dan rasa keterlibatan dalam organisasi, aspek komitmen berkelanjutan berkaitan dengan nilai ekonomis yang didapat seorang karyawan, yang berarti bahwa seseorang memilih bertahan pada suatu perusahaan karena mendapat keuntungan-keuntungan tertentu, dibandingkan karyawan tersebut keluar atau berpindah ke perusahaan lain, dan aspek komitmen normatif berkaitan dengan keinginan untuk bertahan dengan organisasi untuk alasan-alasan moral atau etis. Adapun skala yang digunakan adalah skala aspek dengan menggunakan skala Likert, berisi 53 aitem. Validitas Corrected Item-Total Correlation < 0,300. Dan 45 aitem lainnya valid karena skor validitas Corrected Item-Total Correlation > 0,300. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pengambilan sampel dengan menggunakan rumus Arikunto (2002) untuk menentukan besarnya sampel apabila subjek kurang dari 100. Jumlah sampel sebanyak 76 orang karyawan di PDAM Tirtanadi Medan. Hasil uji reliabilitas menunjukkan bahwa nilai Alpha Croncbach adalah 0,934. Berdasarkan hasil analisis yang dilakukan, diperoleh bahwa persentase aspek komitmen afektif sebesar 47%, persentase aspek komitmen berkelanjutan sebesar 29%, dan persentase aspek komitmen normatif sebesar 24%. This research is a descriptive quantitative study that aims to determine the description of organisational commitment in employees at PDAM Tirtanadi Medan. Stephen P. Robbins and Timothy A. Judge (2008), revealed that there are three aspects that characterise work commitment, including aspects of affective commitment, aspects of continuous commitment, and aspects of normative commitment. The affective commitment aspect is the emotional feelings and beliefs of members/employees towards the values and goals of the company, a sense of belonging to the organisation, and a sense of involvement in the organisation, the sustainable commitment aspect relates to the economic value obtained by an employee, which means that someone chooses to stay with a company because they get certain benefits, compared to the employee leaving or moving to another company, and the normative commitment aspect relates to the desire to stay with the organisation for moral or ethical reasons. The scale used is an aspect scale using a Likert scale, containing 53 items. Validity Corrected Item-Total Correlation <0.300. And the other 45 items are valid because the Corrected Item-Total Correlation validity score is> 0.300. This study uses a sampling method using the Arikunto formula (2002) to determine the sample size when the subject is less than 100. The sample size was 76 employees at PDAM Tirtanadi Medan. The reliability test results show that the Croncbach Alpha value is 0.934. Based on the results of the analysis conducted, it is found that the percentage of affective commitment aspects is 47%, the percentage of sustainable commitment aspects is 29%, and the percentage of normative commitment aspects is 24%.
