Abstract: | PT. Wicaksana Overseas Intemasional Pematang Siantar pertama sekali berdiri di jalan. H.O.S Cokroaminoto Pematang Siantar dimana bangunannya dahulu dipakai untuk produksi barang-barang yang dimiliki oleh Pabrik Rokok Promo dan dibeli o1eh PT. Janggar Jati (nama perusahaan yang pertama sebetum PT. Wicaksana Overseas Intemasional). Perusahaan ini bergerak di bidang distributor makanan dan minuman serta aneka produk lainnya, seperti rokok Commodore, mancis, shampo, dan kiwi mulai dari awal (tahun 70-an) sampai sekarang dengan suatu ikatan kerja sama dengan beberapa perusahaan-perusahaan, pembuat suatu produk barang (principle). Perubahan-perubahan yang terjadi pada perusahaan ini misatnya nama perusahaan, penambahan setiap bagian, penambahan setiap produk yang didistribusikan (dipasarkan) ke pasar atau keluar daerah. Pengembangan karir adalah fungsi operasional kedua dari manajemen personatia. Pengembangan karir (baru/lama) perlu ditakukan secara terencana dan berkesinambungan. Agar pengembangan dapat dilaksanakan dengan baik, harus lebih dahulu ditetapkan suatu program pengembangan karir Sumber Daya Manusia. Pengambangan karir dirasa semakin penting manfaatnya karena tuntutan pekerjaan atau jabatan sebagai akibat kemajuan teknologi dan semakin ketatnya persaingan diantara perusahaan yang sejenis. Oieh karena itu pengernbangan karir sangat berhubungan terhadap turnover karyawan. Dengan adanya pengembangan karir maka keinginan karyawan untuk keluar dan masuknya ke perusahaan akan lebih terarah. PT. Wicaksana Overseas International Pematang Siantar was the first to stand on the road. H.O.S Cokroaminoto Pematang Siantar where the building was previously used for the production of goods owned by the Promo Cigarette Factory and purchased by PT. Janggar Jati (the name of the first company before PT. Wicaksana Overseas International). This company operates in the field of food and beverage distributors as well as various other products, such as Commodore cigarettes, sweets, shampoo and kiwi from the beginning (in the 70s) until now with cooperative ties with several companies, manufacturers of goods. (principle). Changes that occur in this company include, for example, the name of the company, the addition of each section, the addition of each product that is distributed (marketed) to the market or outside the region. Career development is the second operational function of personnel management. Career development (new/old) needs to be done in a planned and continuous manner. So that development can be carried out well, a Human Resources career development program must first be established. The benefits of career development are increasingly important because of the demands of work or positions as a result of technological advances and increasingly tight competition between similar companies. Therefore, career development is closely related to employee turnover. With career development, employees' desires to leave and enter the company will be more focused. |
