Abstract: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara self control dengan prokrastinasi akademik pada siswa di SMKS YWKA Medan. Populasi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X-XII SMKS YWKA Medan yang berjumlah 264 orang siswa, dan sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 120 orang siswa. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode kuantitatif. Pengumpulan data menggunakan skala kontrol diri dan skala prokrastinasi akademik diukur dengan menggunakan skala Likert. Teknik analisis data menggunakan Korelasi Product Moment. Hasil penelitian menunjukan nilai signifikansi korelasi p= 0,000< 0,05, artinya ada hubungan negatif antara self conrol dengan prokrastinasi akademik pada siswa di SMKS YWKA Medan, dengan koefisien determinan (r2) sebesar 0,292 atau 29,2%. Dengan kata lain, hipotesis diterima. Self control tergolong rendah (mean empirik= 45,28 < mean hipotetik=55 dimana selisih lebih dari satu SD= 8,428) dan untuk prokrastinasi akademik tergolong tinggi (mean empirik=59,3 > mean hipotetik=50 dimana selisih lebih dari bilangan SD= 8,375). This research aims to determine the relationship between self-control and academic procrastination in students at SMKS YWKA Medan. The population used in this research were all students in class X-XII of SMKS YWKA Medan, totaling 264 students, and the sample used in This research consisted of 120 students. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The research method uses quantitative methods. Data were collected using a self-control scale and the academic procrastination scale was measured using a Likert scale. Analysis techniques data using Product Moment Correlation. The research results show a significant correlation value of p = 0.000 < 0.05, meaning that there is a negative relationship between self-control and academic procrastination in students at SMKS YWKA Medan, with a determinant coefficient (r2) of 0.292 or 29.2%. In other words,hypothesis accepted. Self control is classified as low (empirical mean = 45.28 < hypothetical mean = 55 where the difference is more than one SD = 8.428) and for academic procrastination it is classified as high (empirical mean = 59.3 > hypothetical mean = 50 where the difference is more than SD = 8,375).
