Soil shear strength is the strength of the soil to carry loads or forces that can cause landslides, collapses, sliding and shifting of the soil. Factors that influence shear strength include soil condition (pore number, size & shape of grains), soil type (sand, clay), water content. The aim of research is the value of soil shear strength using the triaxial test & direct shear test, to obtain the correlation results of the shear angle value and the cohesion value using linear regression, to find out the value of the shear strength of the soil from the test, and to find out the difference in the results of the shear angle and cohesion values from the depth of the data. borelog. The recommended equations to be used in predicting shear strength and cohesion values are: , . The results of calculations using the equation of triaxial and direct shear test data obtained an average value of ϕtriaxial 22.96 kg/m² while ϕdirect shear was 24.65 kg/m², where ϕtriaxial < ϕdirect shear, then the empirical correlation of soil shear strength from the two consistency tests the angle of friction of the soil is very soft. The Ctx cohesion value with an average of 0.52º is smaller than the Cdx value, which is 0.77º, so the empirical correlation of soil shear strength from the two soil cohesion consistency tests is very soft.
