Studi Identifikasi Faktor-faktor Penyebab Perilaku Merokok pada Remaja Awal di Perumnas Mandala Kelurahan Kenangan

Abstract

Perilaku merokok adalah aktivitas mengisap atau menghirup asap rokok (tembakau yang dibakar) dengan menggunakan pipa atau rokok yang dilakukan secara intensif dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Perilaku merokok merupakan perilaku yang menjadi pemicu utama penyalahgunaan narkoba pada setiap kalangan terutama remaja. Berbagai faktor yang menjadi penyebab mengapa remaja itu merokok. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor penyebab perilaku merokok serta menggambarkan tipe kepribadian big five pada remaja awal. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 100 remaja awal (usia 12-15 tahun) di Perumnas Mandala Kelurahan Kenangan. Teknik pengambilan subjek ialah proportional random sampling. Alat pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah skala faktor-faktor penyebab perilaku merokok yang terdiri dari 24 item (a = 0,805) dan skala kepribadian big five yang terdiri dari 15 item (a = 0, 761 ). Analisis data menggunakan teknik crosstabulation dengan SPSS 16 dan statistik deskriptif dalam bentuk persen.Berdasarkan analisis data, diperoleh bahwa faktor penyebab yang terbesar ialah faktor teman 73%, faktor iklan 72%, faktor kepribadian 69% dan faktor orangtua 66%. Dengan tipe kepribadian ekstroversion 39%, openness to new experienve 24%, agreeableness 18%, conscientiousness 12% dan neurotisisme 7%. The smoking behavior is activity to breathe in or sipping the smoke of cigarette (the burnt tobacco) using pipe or cigarette intensively in daily Jiving. The smoking behavior is a main trigger of the narcotic and prohibited drug abuse in particular to the adolescent. Any causal factors for adolescent doing ~rooking their;. This research aims to identify factors cause the smoking behavior and depict three personalities of big five to the early of adolescence. The subject of this research is 100 early adolescent (age of 12 - 15 years old) at Perumnas Mandala, urban village of Kenangan.The sample is taken by propotional random sampling method. 'The data co1lecting method is scale of causal factor of smoking behavior that consist of 24 items (a = 0.805) and big five personality scale that consist of 15 items (a= 0.761). The data was analyzed by cross-tabulation method with SPSS 16 and descriptive statistic in percentage. Based on the data analysis it is obtain that the causal factor is friend for 73%, advertisement for 72%, personality factor for 69% and parents factor for 66%. Based on personality type, the extroversion, openness to new experience, agreeableness, conscientiousness and neuroticism are 39%, 24%, 18%, 12% and 7%, respectively.
