Pengaruh Empati terhadap Perilaku Prososial Remaja di SMP Negeri 1 Salapian

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh empati terhadap perilaku prososial remaja di SMP Negeri 1 Salapian. Hipotesis yang diajukan adalah adanya pengaruh empati terhadap perilaku prososial pada remaja kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 1 Salapian. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah sebanyak 56 remaja awal kelas VIII. Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik Total Sampling. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif. Analisis data menggunakan analisis regresi sederhana. Berdasarkan analisis data menunjukkan ada pengaruh positif yang signifikan antara empati terhadap perilaku prososial (R2 = 0,751 , P = 0,000 < 0,05). Pengaruh empati terhadap perilaku prososial adalah sebesar 75,1%, sedangkan 24,9% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain. Diketahui empati tergolong rendah dimana mean hipotetik 70 lebih besar dari mean empirik 65,410 dan selisihnya kurang dari nilai Standart Deviasi (SD) 4,035 dan perilaku prososial juga tergolong rendah dimana mean hipotetik 70 lebih besar dari mean empirik 62,928 dan selisihnya kurang dari nilai Standart Deviasi (SD) 3,855. This research aimed to determine the effect of empathy on prosocial behavior among adolescents at SMP Negeri 1 Salapian. The hypothesis proposed was that empathy effects prosocial behavior in eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 1Salapian. The sample in this research consisted of 56 early adolescents in the eighth grade. The sampling technique used in this research was the Total Sampling technique. The method used in this research was quantitative. Data analysis was conducted using simple regression analysis. Based on the data analysis, it was found that there was a significant positive effect ofempathy on prosocial behavior(R =0.751, =0.000<0.05). The effect ofempathy on prosocial behavior was 75.1%, while the remaining 24.9% was effected by olher factors. Empathy was categorized as low, with a hypothetical mean of70 being higher than the empirical mean of65.410, and the difference was less than the Standard Deviation (SD) value of4.035. Prosocial behavior was also categorized as low, with a hypothetical mean of70 being higher than the empirical mean of 62.928, and the difference was less than the Standard Deviation (SD) value of 3.855.
