This study aims to determine the effect of job insecurity on occupational self-efficacy in non-employees at the Kantor Pelayanan Pajak Pratama Medan Barat. The population in this study were all non-employees at the Kantor Pelayanan Pajak Pratama Medan Barat totaling 60 non-employees and the number of samples in this study was 60 non-employees at the Kantor Pelayanan Pajak Pratama Medan Barat. The sampling technique used was the total sampling technique. Data collection was carried out using a Likert scale model with two scales, namely the job insecurity scale and the occupational self-efficacy scale. Based on the results of the simple linear regression analysis, it can be seen that there is a negative and significant effect between job insecurity on occupational self-efficacy in nonemployees at the Kantor Pelayanan Pajak Pratama Medan Barat, where rxy = -0.351, with a significant p = 0.000 <0.05. From the results obtained the determinant coefficient (r2) ofthe relationship between the independent variable X and the dependent variable Y is r2 = 0.430 this shows that job insecurity has a distribution towards occupational self-efficacy of 43.0%. Based on the results of the mean test, it can be concluded that job insecurity is classified as high with a hypothetical mean value of 137.5 and an empirical mean of 172,933. Furthermore, occupational self-efficacy can be concluded to obtain low results with a hypothetical value of 102.5 and an empirical value of 78,400. From the results of this study, it can be concluded that job insecurity has an influence on occupational selfefficacy in non employees at the Kantor Pelayanan Pajak Pratama Medan Barat.
