The Korean drama Move To Heaven, inspired by the non-fiction book titled "Things Left Behind," written by Kim Sae Byoul, portrays the dynamics of human relationships through varying emotions and feelings. The method used was a descriptive qualitative method with Ferdinand De Saussure’s semiotic analysis. Data collection was conducted by observing scenes from the drama Move To Heaven and described in the form of images and descriptions. The results of this research illustrated the communication dynamics in human relationships between the main character and deceased clients, viewed through five aspects of communication effectiveness: openness, empathy, support, positive attitude, and equality. The validation results from sources and triangulation showed that there are profound dynamics in human relationships, which can be examined through the reactions and reflections exhibited by the main character towards the experiences faced with clients and the environment. The barriers found in this study included semantic barriers and human barriers; no mechanical barriers were found in the drama Move To Heaven. |
