This research <Jimed to determine the effect of administering concentrations of palm fruit (Arenga pinna/a) rind extract on rice weevil (SilOphilus oryzae) damage. This research was carried out in the Natural Materials Chemislty Laboratory. MIPA, University of Norlh Sumatra to carry out extraclion. Mortality observations from December 8111 to December 18111,2023 were carried out JI. Kebun Sayur. Merry/and Block A 6 Housing. Kee. Lubuk Pakam, Deli Serdang Regency. North Sumatra. This research used a non-factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 6 treatment levels, namely. PO = no treatment. Pl = Alika pesticide. P2 = 10% sugar palm fruit rind extract, PJ = 15% palm fruit rind extract, P-1 = fruit rind extract aren 20%. and P5 = Palm fruit rind extract 25%. The parameters observed in this research were mortality of rice weevils, effectiveness of palm fruit rind extract and screening test for palm fruit rind extract. The results of this research. namely the administration of palm fruit rind extract with various concentrations. had no sign(/lcant effect on suppressing attacks by rice weevil (S.oryzae L.). Thus, !>ystemic pesticide treatment (P 1) has a higher percentage of mortality compared to other treatments and there are 9 types o,f metabolite compound in palm fruit rind extract including /auric acid. myristic acid, palmitic acid, methyl palmitate. hydrolyoctadecanoic acid, methyl ricinolea/e, arachidic acid, 2-lauro- 1.3-didecoin and Trilaurin.
