The antibacterial ability of biocomposites made from cellulose, chitosan andalginate as wound dressings with antibacterial properties. Biocomposites are developed through a combination of chemistry and microbiology methods, then characterized using FTIR and SEM. The antibacterial activity test was carried out using the agar diffusion method against Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus. The results showed that the biocomposite showed significant antibacterial activity against both test bacteria. Biocomposites with a certain composition (B.B U1 (P1)) showed the largest clear zone with an antimicrobial index reaching 2.85 after 24 hours of observation. Cellulose/chitosan/alginate biocomposites have great potential as effective antibacterial wound dressings. Further research is needed to validate itseffectiveness and develop clinical applications.
