Abstract: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis karakteristik tanah dan menentukan jenis pondasi yang tepat untuk proyek pembangunan Gudang dan Kantor PT Maju Bersama Drivindo, yang terletak di Jalan Irian Barat, Kecamatan Percut Sei Tuan, Kabupaten Deli Serdang, Sumatera Utara. Pengujian dilakukan dengan Sondering Test (ST) pada lima titik pengujian yang tersebar di lokasi proyek. Data yang diperoleh berupa nilai Cone Resistance (CR) pada kedalaman tertentu, yang digunakan untuk menghitung daya dukung tanah qult dengan faktor koreksi k=1.3. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa tanah di lokasi proyek memiliki nilai CR berkisar antara 120 kg/cm² hingga 225 kg/cm², yang mengindikasikan bahwa tanah tersebut cukup keras untuk mendukung pondasi. Berdasarkan perhitungan daya dukung tanah, nilai qult berkisar antara 157,3 kg/cm² hingga 292,5 kg/cm². Dengan demikian, pondasi dangkal dapat digunakan pada kedalaman tanah keras yang terdeteksi pada kedalaman 12 - 15 meter, sementara pondasi dalam seperti bore pile atau tiang pancang direkomendasikan untuk kedalaman lebih dari 10 meter, untuk memastikan stabilitas struktur. Penelitian ini memberikan rekomendasi yang praktis dalam memilih jenis pondasi yang tepat berdasarkan hasil pengujian lapangan dan analisis daya dukung tanah. This study aims to analyze soil characteristics and determine the right type of foundation for the construction project of the Warehouse and Office of PT Maju Bersama Drivindo, located on Jalan Irian Barat, Percut Sei Tuan District, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra. Testing was carried out using Sondering Test (ST) at five test points spread across the project site. The data obtained were in the form of Cone Resistance (CR) values at a certain depth, which were used to calculate the soil bearing capacity qult with a correction factor k = 1.3. The test results showed that the soil at the project site had a CR value ranging from 120 kg / cm² to 225 kg / cm², which indicated that the soil was hard enough to support the foundation. Based on the calculation of soil bearing capacity, the qult value ranged from 157.3 kg / cm² to 292.5 kg / cm². Thus, shallow foundations can be used at hard soil depths detected at a depth of 12 - 15 meters, while deep foundations such as bore piles or piles are recommended for depths of more than 10 meters, to ensure structural stability. This study provides practical recommendations in selecting the right type of foundation based on the results of field testing and soil bearing capacity analysis. |
