Abstract: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan kecerdasan emosional dan dukungan keluarga dengan motivasi belajar siswa SMP. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah 90 siswa SMP Negeri 2 Sei Lepan Kabupaten Langkat. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 90 siswa yang diambil dengan teknik total sampling. Data penelitian menggunakan skala 3 variabel. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Ada hubungan antara kecerdasan emosional dengan motivasi belajar dengan koefisien rxly=0,464, p<0,000. Hal ini berarti semakin tinggi kecerdasan emosional maka semakin tinggi motivasi belajar siswa. (2) Ada hubungan positif antara dukungan keluarga dengan motivasi belajar, dengan koefisien rx2y=0,373, p<0,001. Hal ini berarti jika semakin tinggi tingkat dukungan keluarga maka motivasi belajar akan semakin tinggi. (3) Ada hubungan antara kecerdasan emosional dan dukungan keluarga dengan motivasi belajar, dengan koefisien F=12,610 dan R=0,507. This study aims to determine the relationship between emotional intelligence and family support and the learning motivation of junior high school students. The population in this study was 90 students at SMP Negeri 2 Sei Lepan, Langkat Regency. The sample size of 90 students was taken using a total sampling technique. The research data used a three-variable scale. The results of this study indicate that: (1) There is a relationship between emotional intelligence and learning motivation, with a coefficient of rx2y = 0.464, p < 0.000. This means that the higher the emotional intelligence, the higher the student's learning motivation. (2) There is a positive relationship between family support and learning motivation, with a coefficient of rx2y = 0.373, p < 0.001. This means that the higher the level of family support, the higher the learning motivation. (3) There is a relationship between emotional intelligence and family support and learning motivation, with a coefficient of F = 12.610 and R = 0.507. |
