Gambaran Subjective Well-Being pada Remaja di MTs Al-Washliyah Gedung Johor Medan

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran subjective well-being pada remaja di MTS Al-Washliyah Gedung Johor Medan dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII dan VIII MTS Al-Washliyah Gedung Johor Medan dan sampel penelitian berjumlah 166 siswa yang dipilih dengan menggunakan teknik total sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan skala SWLS (Satisfaction With Life Scale) dikembangkan oleh Diener dkk. (1985) yang telah diadaptasi ke dalam Bahasa Indonesia oleh Muttaqin (2022) digunakan untuk mengukur aspek kognitif, dan skala PANAS (Positive Affect Negative Affect Schedule) dikembangkan oleh Watson dkk. (1988) yang telah diadaptasi ke dalam Bahasa Indonesia oleh Akhtar (2019) digunakan untuk mengukur aspek afektif, yang diukur dengan menggunakan bentuk Skala Likert. Analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa subjective wellbeing pada remaja di MTS Al-Washliyah Gedung Johor Medan berada pada kategori sedang (μ = 40; 𝑥̅ = 50,22; SD = 10,498). Analisis selanjutnya menemukan bahwa aspek tertinggi dari subjective well-being pada remaja di MTS Al-Washliyah Gedung Johor Medan adalah afek positif dengan persentase sebesar 35,50%, diikuti oleh aspek kognitif dengan persentase sebesar 32,93%, dan aspek yang terendah adalah afek negatif dengan persentase sebesar 31,57%. This study aimed to determine the description of subjective well-being among adolescents at MTS Al-Washliyah Gedung Johor Medan using a descriptive quantitative approach. The study population consisted of students in grades VII and VIII at MTS Al-Washliyah Gedung Johor Medan, with a total sample of 166 participants selected through a total sampling technique. Data were collected using the Satisfaction With Life Scale (SWLS), developed by Diener et al. (1985), adapted into Indonesian by Muttaqin (2022), to measure the cognitive aspect, and the Positive Affect Negative Affect Schedule (PANAS), developed by Watson et al. (1988), adapted into Indonesian by Akhtar (2019), to measure the affective aspect. Both instruments employed a Likert-type scale. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistical methods. The analysis revealed that the level of subjective well-being among adolescents at MTS Al-Washliyah Gedung Johor Medan was categorized as moderate (μ = 40; 𝑥̅ = 50,22; SD = 10,498). Further analysis found that the highest aspect of subjective well-being among adolescents at MTS Al-Washliyah Gedung Johor Medan was positive affect with a percentage of 35.50%, followed by the cognitive aspect with a percentage 32.93%, and the lowest aspect was negative affect with a percentage of 31.57%.
