This study aims to determine the relationship between procrastination and academic stress in grade X students of SMA Negeri 2 Plus Sipirok. The study used a quantitative method with quota sampling technique, involving 41 students from a total population of 143 students. Data were collected using a Likert scale and analyzed by simple linear regression. The results of the analysis showed a significant correlation between procrastination and academic stress (r = 0.870, p < 0.05), with a coefficient of determination of 75.6%. This means that 75.6% of the variation in academic stress is influenced by procrastination, while the rest is influenced by other factors. The empirical mean values for academic stress (75.44) and procrastination (78.76) are higher than the hypothetical mean, indicating that both variables are in the high category. Thus, it can be concluded that there is a significant positive relationship between procrastination and academic stress in students.
