Gambaran Konsep Diri Remaja yang Mengalami Broken Home di SMP Negeri 17 Medan

Abstract

Konsep diri adalah cara individu memandang dan menerima dirinya sendiri, baik dari segi fisik, psikologis, maupun sosial. Yang dibentuk melalui pengalaman dan interaksi individu dengan orang lain. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran konsep diri remaja yang mengalami broken home di SMP Negeri 17 Medan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan analisis deskriptif kuantitatif dengan bantuan program IBM SPSS Statistics versi 25. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 62 remaja yang dipilih dengan teknik total sampling. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan skala konsep diri yang disusun berdasarkan aspek-aspek konsep diri oleh Fitts. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai mean empirik (100,27) lebih tinggi dari mean hipotetik (92,5) dengan selisih 7,77 ≤ SD (11,514), sehingga konsep diri remaja berada pada kategori sedang. Berdasarkan analisis faktor, aspek diri pribadi memiliki nilai extraction tertinggi (0,905), diikuti aspek diri sosial (0,890), aspek diri fisik (0,803), aspek diri moral-etik (0,603), dan aspek diri keluarga (0,496). Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah gambaran konsep diri remaja yang mengalami broken home di SMP Negeri 17 Medan berada pada kategori sedang dengan kecenderungan positif. Self-concept is the way an individual views and accepts himself, both physically, psychologically, and socially. which is formed through an individual's experiences and interactions with others. This study aims to find out the description of the self-concept of adolescents who experience a broken home at SMP Negeri 17 Medan. The research method used is quantitative with a descriptive approach. Data analysis was carried out using quantitative descriptive analysis with the help of the IBM SPSS Statistics program version 25. The research sample amounted to 62 adolescents who were selected using the total sampling technique. The research instrument uses a self-concept scale that is compiled based on aspects of self-concept by Fitts. The results showed that the empirical mean value (100.27) was higher than the hypothetical mean (92.5) with a difference of 7.77 ≤ elementary school (11.514), so that adolescents' self-concept was in the medium category. Based on factor analysis, the personal self aspect had the highest extraction value (0.905), followed by the social self aspect (0.890), the physical self aspect (0.803), the moral-ethical self-aspect (0.603), and the family self aspect (0.496). The conclusion of this study is that the self-concept of adolescents who experience a broken home at SMP Negeri 17 Medan is in the medium category with a positive tendency.
