Namun, sejak diberlakukannya Undang-Undang Nomor 11 Tahun 2020 tentang Cipta Kerja, pengaturan mengenai PKWT mengalami perubahan signifikan, khususnya terkait masa kontrak, pembaruan, serta perlindungan hak pekerja. Fixed-Term Employment Agreements (PKWT) are a common form of employment relationship in the Indonesian employment system. However, since the enactment of Law Number 11 of 2020 concerning Job Creation, regulations regarding PKWT have undergone significant changes, particularly regarding contract periods, renewals, and the protection of workers' rights. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of PKWT regulations following the enactment of the Job Creation Law using a normative-juridical approach. The results indicate that although the Job Creation Law provides flexibility for employers, there is potential for weakening protection for contract workers, particularly in terms of job security and normative rights. This study recommends the need for harmonization of derivative regulations and strengthening of labor supervision.
