| Abstract: | Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menganalisis pengaruh karakteristik individu dan karakteristik pekerjaan terhadap komitmen pegawai dengan kepuasan kerja sebagai mediasi. Metode penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan analisis data menggunakan Structural Equation Modeling Partial Square (SEM-PLS). Penelitian ini dilakukan di perusahaan listrik negara (PERSERO) PLN UP 3 Kota Medan. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik Simple Random Sampling dan diperoleh 145 sampel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Karakteristik individu berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja. Karakteristik pekerjaan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja. Kepuasan kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap komitmen kerja pegawai. Karakteristik individu berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap komitmen kerja pegawai melalui kepuasan kerja. Karakteristik pekerjaan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap komitmen kerja pegawai melalui kepuasan kerja. This study was conducted to analyze the influence of individual characteristics and job characteristics on employee commitment, with job satisfaction as a mediator. This research method was quantitative, with data analysis using Structural Equation Modeling Partial Squares (SEMPLS). This study was conducted at the state-owned electricity company (PLN) UP 3, Medan City. The sampling technique used simple random sampling, resulting in 145 samples. The results showed that individual characteristics had a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction. Job characteristics had a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction. Job satisfaction had a positive and significant effect on employee work commitment. Individual characteristics had a positive and significant effect on employee work commitment through job satisfaction.
