Shallots (Allium ascalonicum L.) are an important horticultural commodity widely used as a cooking spice in daily life. This study aimed to determine the growth and yield response of shallot plants to the application of chicken manure and rice husk charcoal at different dosage levels. The experiment was conducted using a Randomized Block Design (RBD) consisting of four treatment levels. The chicken manure treatments (K) were: K0 = control (no treatment), K1 = 1.8 kg/plot, K2 = 2.0 kg/plot, and K3 = 2.2 kg/plot. The rice husk charcoal treatments (S) were: S0 = control (no treatment), S1 = 1.4 kg/plot, S2 = 1.6 kg/plot, and S3 = 1.8 kg/plot. The observed parameters included plant height (cm), number of leaves, number of bulbs per sample plant, wet bulb weight per plot (kg), and dry bulb weight per plot (kg). Observations were carried out at 14, 21, 28, 35, and 42 days after planting (DAP). The results showed that the application of chicken manure and rice husk charcoal had no significant effect on all observed parameters. However, the single treatment of rice husk charcoal S2 (1.6 kg/plot) produced the highest wet bulb weight of 339.50 g per plot. This indicates that the addition of rice husk charcoal can improve soil structure and enhance nutrient availability for shallot plants. Therefore, the application of rice husk charcoal at moderate doses has the potential to increase shallot bulb yield efficiently.
