Abstract: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran perilaku asertif anggota Polri Satuan Sabhara Polda Sumatera Utara. This study aimed to describe the assertive behavior of police officers in the Sabhara Unit of the North Sumatra Regional Police. The study employed a descriptive quantitative approach with a sample of 230 respondents. The research instrument was an assertive behavior scale. The validity test results showed that 45 out of 50 items were valid with a Corrected Item-Total Correlation value greater than 0.30, while 5 items were discarded. Reliability testing using Cronbach’s Alpha obtained a coefficient of 0.921, indicating very high reliability. Descriptive analysis revealed that overall assertive behavior was in the high category. Based on the aspects, acting according to personal interests was the highest aspect with a high category percentage of 93%, followed by self-defense at 81%, interpersonal relationship harmony at 77%, expressing personal rights at 62%, and the lowest aspect was expressing feelings at 49%. The dominance of the moderate category in several aspects indicates that officers’ assertive abilities have developed but are not yet optimal comprehensively. These findings emphasize the importance of strengthening assertive communication training to enhance officers’ ability to express themselves, maintain personal rights, and sustain professional interpersonal relationships.
