Pembentukan Konsep Diri Dalam Lirik Lagu “Evaluasi” Pada Album Menari Dengan Bayangan (Analisis Semiotika Roland Barthes Terhadap Lirik Lagu “Evaluasi” Hindia)

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pesan konsep diri serta menganalisis pembentukan konsep diri yang disampaikan oleh pencipta lagu yaitu Hindia dalam lirik lagu Evaluasi (2019) kepada pendengarnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan metode Semiotika Roland Barthes yang terdiri dari makna denotasi, konotasi, dan mitos serta didukung oleh teori Interaksionisme Simbolik George Herbert Mead untuk memahami proses pembentukan konsep diri individu. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pembentukan konsep diri tidak terjadi sebagai proses instan, melainkan dibentuk melalui pengalaman pribadi, dialog internal, dan interaksi individu dengan tekanan sosial dan realitas kehidupan modern. Konsep diri yang disajikan adalah konsep yang realistis, reflektif, dan manusiawi, mengajak individu untuk menerima ketidaksempurnaan, mengakui luka emosional, dan memandang evaluasi diri sebagai proses pertumbuhan daripada bentuk penghakiman diri. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa pembentukan konsep diri tidak hanya didapatkan pada lingkungan masyarakat secara langsung saja namun dapat terbentuk melalu lirik suatu lagu seperti lagu Evaluasi. This study aims to analyze the message of self-concept and the formation of self concept conveyed by the songwriter, Hindia, in the lyrics of the song "Evaluation" (2019). This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach using Roland Barthes's Semiotics method, which consists of denotative, connotative, and mythical meanings, and is supported by George Herbert Mead's Symbolic Interactionism theory to understand the process of individual self-concept formation. The results show that self-concept formation does not occur instantly, but rather is shaped through personal experiences, internal dialogue, and the individual's interaction with social pressures and the realities of modern life. The self-concept presented is realistic, reflective, and humane, encouraging individuals to accept imperfection, acknowledge emotional wounds, and view self-evaluation as a process of growth rather than a form of self-judgment. This study concludes that self-concept formation is not only found directly in society but can also be formed through song lyrics, such as "Evaluation."
