Abstract

The words meme already prevalent we have heard in recent years, the meme can be in the form of pictures or videos, and spread very quickly on the internet, memes can be extinct or continue to proliferate, popular meme only will continue to survive. The purpose of this research is to know the perceptions of student remeja Faculty of social and political sciences of the University of Medan Area against cyberbullying on image memes in Social Media. Research methods used in this research is a method of quantitative deskriftif. Populations and samples in the study throughout the course students study communication science Stambuk 2014 and 2015 Faculty of social and political sciences of the University of Medan Area as much as 158 students the magnitude of sample Slovin formula is used, then the number of samples in this study was 61 people. Data analysis techniques are deskriftif i.e. research which gives you an idea of situations or events. The data obtained through the dissemination of the questionnaire will be calculated frequencies and presentasenya is then presented in the form of a single table. Student perceptions of cyberbullying research results on the image of the meme is an action which is very embarrassing and can ruin a person's good name, as well as media agencies, and there's a picture of the picture can be comforting and provide information.
