Analisis Konsumsi Pangan Rumah Tangga Nelayan Buruh Di Kelurahan Belawan Bahari Kecamatan Medan Belawan Kota Medan

Abstract

Food is an important element in improving the quality of human and community resources. The need for food is a basic requirement for humans, not least for fishermen, especially in this case fisherman of household laborers in Belawan Bahari Village Medan Belawan District Medan. The purpose of this study was to find out how the consumption of household food of fisherman laborers in Belawan Bahari sub-district, Medan Belawan district, Medan, and what are factors which influence it. The location of the study was determined purposively. Sampling method which was used in this research is Simple Random Sampling method. To fulfil the needs of the study, 15% of the total population of 396 households of fisherman households were collected, so that the number of samples that are used in this study amounted to 60 households of fisherman workers. The obtained data are primary and secondary data. Data analysis which was used in this research is descriptive analysis. Furthermore, to know what factors that influence the consumption of household food of fishermen, the writer used Multiple Linear Regression Analysis. The results showed that the amount of household food consumption expenditure of labor fishermen did not vary. based on test-F, independent variable had significant effect on dependent variable. While the test-t showed that independent variables was difference in affecting the dependent variable. Where the variable of education level, and the number of household member had significant / significant effect to dependent variable, while the variable of income and non-food expenditure level was not significant
