Analisis Pengelolaan Modal Kerja dan Profitabilitas Perusahaan Terhadap Peningkatan Laba pada PT. Siantar Top Tbk. yang Terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of working capital management and profitability on capital increase because of PT. Siantar Top Tbk. On the Indonesia Stock Exchange. This type of research is associative namely a study that is to know the influence or relationship between two or more variables. The population in this study is the financial statements of PT. Sintar Top Tbk. The period 2011-2017 with samples, namely the company's balance sheet and income statement as of the end of the year 2011-2017. Based on the t test that has been carried out shows that the working capital management has a value of t count 2.965 > t table 2.776 which means positive and a significance value of 0.666 > 0.050 means not significant. This explains that the management of working capital does not have a significant effect on increasing profits. The profitability variable explains that profitability has a value of 4,628 > t table 2.776 means that it is positive and a significance value of 0.010 > 0.050 means significant. This explains that profitability has a positive and significant effect on increasing profits. Based on the F test results, obtained f count 13.20 > f table 6.94 means positive. While the significance value on the sig table 0.017 < 0.050 means significant. Thus it can be concluded that the management of working capital and profitability simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on increasing profits of PT. Siantar Top Tbk. The R square value obtained is 0.803. The figure shows that 80.3% of the increase in profit can be explained by the variable factors of working capital management and profitability. The remaining 19.7% is influenced by other factors not explained in this study.
