Analisis Faktor-Faktor yang Mempengaruhi Produksi dan Kelayakan Usaha Rumah Tangga Gula Aren (Studi Kasus: Kecamatan Bahorok, Kabupaten Langkat)

Abstract

This study aims to determine the factors that influence the production of palm sugar household businesses and to find out whether the household business of palm sugar is worth cultivating by craftsmen. The sampling method was used in the Census with a number of sample artisans as many as 37 palm sugar producers. Data collected are primary data and secondary data. The analytical method used is multiple linear analysis with SPSS 21 software tools and business feasibility analysis using R/C Ratio. The results of the study show (1) the variables of labor and raw materials have a significant effect on the production of household palm sugar. (2) variable production costs and selling prices do not have a significant effect on the production of palm sugar household businesses. (3) business feasibility analysis obtained the results of R/C Ratio < 1. With an R/C ratio of less than 1, it can be concluded that the palm sugar household business is not financially feasible to be developed in the study area due to the relatively few, level of craftsmen education is low and the technology used is still simple.
