Studi Analisis Perencanaan Penggantian mesin Pompa Distribusi di IPA PDAM Tirtanadi Sunggal

Abstract

Perusahaan Daerah Air Minum (PDAM) or Water Supply Regional Company Tirtanadi is a Regional Owned Enterprises Level I of North Sumatra engaged in the provision and distribution of drinking water in Medan City and surrounding. The study was conducted to analyze the economic age of tool/machine to the engine replacement planning. The calculation only focusing on the distribution pump engine, due to the worn condition of the machine that experienced the breakdown/ time-worn of the machine components disrupting the distribution process of clean water to the people and causing an increase in operating and maintenance costs that can be disadvantageous to the company. The method used in this study was the calculation of net annual costs. The data needed to be data relating to the engine exploitation costs, namely operational and maintenance costs, then to calculate the economic life of the distribution machine using the net annual cost method. From the last year's net annual cost calculation results on distribution pumping machines in 2011, the minimum price of the distribution pump engine is IDR. 103,413,243 with i = 10%. This net annual cost was obtained after calculating the operational and maintenance costs. Thus, by knowing the economic age of the distribution water pump engine in 2011, the company should consider making a replacement for the distribution machine pump.
