Abstract: This research want to discuss about relation between work discipline and teachers performance skill at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri (MTsN) School in Padang Lawas. This research use quantitative analysis with type one of correlation research method. The population in this research is 65 teachers who active to teach at MTsN Padang Lawas School. To determine the samples in this research case is using the purposive sampling which means technique of taking the data sources that having some opinions before as much as for 39 peoples. Taking the data was did by scale in teachers behavior for work discipline and by the School Documents about work performance their teachers also. Validity test was obtained the scale grains of work discipline that really valid to working by rbt = 0,354 until rbt = 0,813 with significant level or p> 0,300. Reliability test used the Alpha Cronbach type and the result is 0,954 in reliability index for scale discipline working. Correlation test for grains finish result used to determine relation between these two variable is work discipline and teachers performance skill was obtained by counting with the correlation Moments Product. And by the result counting correlation r for moment product, p = 0,000 < 0,05 by this result there is no significant relation between work discipline and the teachers, and its is why the hypothesis was rejected. Work discipline teachers is almost quite high with the empiric average (RE) = 151, while teachers performance skill is almost quite high with the empiric average (RE) = 22,3.
Description: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat hubungan antara disiplin kerja dengan kinerja guru di sekolah Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeeri (MTsN) Padang Lawas. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian korelasi. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah guru yang mengajar di sekolah MTsN padang lawas sebanyak 65 orang. Untuk menentukan jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan purpossive sampling yang artinya adalah teknik pengambilan sampel sumber data dengan pertimbangan tertentu sebanyak 39 orang. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan skala Disiplin kerja dan Kinerja guru menggunakan dokumentasi yang telah ada di sekolah. Uji validitas dimana diperoleh koefisien butir skala Disiplin kerja yang valid bergerak dari rbt = 0,354hingga rbt = 0,813 dengan taraf signifikan atau p> 0,300 . Uji reliabilitas menggunakan Alpha Cronbach yang menghasilkan indeks reliabilitas sebesar 0,954 untuk skala disiplin kerja. Uji korelasi butir total digunakan untuk menentukan hubungan antara kedua variable yaitu disiplin kerja dan kinerja guru diperoleh melalui perhitungan dengan korelasi Product Moment. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan korelasi r product momen, dimana = - 0,082 dengan signifikan p = 0,000 < 0,05 dari hasil tersebut menunjukan bahwa tidak ada hubungan yang signifikan antara disiplin kerja dengan kinerja guru, sehinggan hipotesis yang diajukan ditolak. Disiplin kerja guru tergolong tinggi dengan rerata empirik (RE) =151, sedangkan kinerja guru tergolong dalam kategori tinggi dengan rerat empirik (RE) = 22,3
