Hubungan Konsep Diri Dengan Penyesuaian Diri Siswa Kelas X SMA Swasta Advent Air Bersih Medan Yang Tinggal Di Boarding School

Abstract

This research has a purpose to see whether there is relationship between Self Concept with Self Adjustment of 10th grade of High School in Air Bersih Adventist Boarding School, Medan. The subjects of this study were all 10th Grade students who live in dormitory with a total of 90 students. The hypothesis proposed in this research is relationship between Self-Concept with Self-Adjustment of 10th grade of High School in Air Bersih Adventist Boarding School, Medan. With the assumption, the higher the Self Concept the higher the Self Adjustment will be. Measuring instrument used in this research is Self Concept Instrument that consists of 40 items and Instrument Adjustment that consists of 40 items. To analyze the data, the technique used is r product moment. Based on data analysis, it was found that the hypothesis proposed in this study was accepted, that there is a significant positive relationship between Self Concept and Self-Adjustment. It is proven by calculation of r product moment analysis with coefficient (Rxy) = 0.482 and coefficient of determination (R2) =0.232 with p 0.000 <0,005. The determinant coefficient (R2) = 23.2% indicates Self Adjustment is influenced by Self Concept and 76.8% is influenced by other factors. Further seen from the calculation of hypothetical mean = 90 and empirical mean 113.18 and standard deviation = 9.099 note that self-concept high while self-adjustment of hypothetical mean calculation = 95 and empirical mean 119.82 and standard deviation =
