Analisa Perawatan Mesin Sterilizer Menggunakan Metode Overall Equipment Effectivenees (OEE) Pada PT. Djaja Putra Indonesia Kabupaten Asahan

Abstract

Palm Oil Mill of PT. Djaja Putra Indonesia Asahan District is a company engaged in palm oil processing. The company faces many problems related to engine efficiency due to the lack of handling and maintaining of production machinery. This study aims to measure the Overall Equipment Effectiveness value of the Sterilizer machine, analyze the six big losses factor which is the top priority to be eliminated through the causal diagram, and conduct the improvement towards the decrease in the efficiency of the sterilizer machine by proposing the problem improvement. Sterilizer machine maintenance using the Overall Equipment Effectiveness was conducted as the effort of the improvement in the efficiency of the production machine. Furthermore, the OEE calculation of six big losses was conducted to find out the level of a decrease in the efficiency of each six big losses factors. Then, through calculations will be known what factors make the biggest contribution to the decrease in efficiency in the Sterilizer machine. As a result, from the calculation obtained the OEE value from February 2018 to January 2019 on the Sterilizer machine ranged between 90.917% to 93.611%. The biggest factors affect the effectiveness of the Sterilizer machine and are the top priority to be eliminated were the Equipment Failures factor of 61.54% and Idling Minor Stoppages of 25.15%.
