dc.descriptionBelum berfungsinya lampu lalu lintas (traffic lights) di persimpangan Titi Kuning mengakibatkan kendaraan yang akan belok kanan harus memutar balik sehingga mengakibatkan adanya antrian yang cukup panjang. Manajemen lalu lintas perlu diterapkan khususnya lampu lalu lintas untuk mengurangi antrian dan efesiensi waktu bagi pemakai jalan. Penelitian membatasi permasalahan dengan membahas karakteristik jalan, volume lalu lintas, arus jenuh, waktu hijau efektif, kapasitas dan derajat kejenuhan, panjang antrian dan tundaan. Perhitungan traffic lights diakukan dengan menggunakan metode MKJI. Rencana perhitungan waktu hijau, kuning dan waktu merah yang di dapat pada arah utara ( Jl. Brigjen Katamso ) yaitu 22, 3 dan 64 detik, arah selatan ( Jl. Zein Hamid ) yaitu 40, 3 dan 82 detik, arah barat ( Jl. A.H Nasution ) yaitu 27, 3 dan 69 detik dan arah timur (Jl. Lintas Sumatera ) yaitu 18, 3 dan 60 detik. Pengaturan waktu lalu lintas ( traffic lights ) dengan menggunakan metode MKJI pada persimpangan Titi Kuning layak dilakukan.en_US
dc.description.abstractThe unfunctioning traffic lights at the Titi Kuning intersection resulted in the vehicle being turned right to turn back, resulting in a fairly long queue. Traffic management needs to be applied in particular the traffic lights to reduce the queues and efficiency of time for road users. Research limits the problem by discussing road characteristics, traffic volume, saturated current, effective green time, capacity and degree of saturation, length of queue and delay. Calculation of traffic lights is done using the MKJI method. The green, yellow and red time calculation plan that can be in the North direction (Jl. Brigjen Katamso) is 22, 3 and 64 seconds, south (Jl. Zein Hamid) is 40, 3 and 82 sec, West (Jl. A. H Nasution) which is 27, 3 and 69 seconds and the east (Jl. Lintas Sumatera) is 18, 3 and 60 seconds. Time setting traffic lights using the MKJI method at the intersection of Titi Kuning is feasible.en_US
