Abstract

The most important task for an information system for a company is data management. In a computer application program, it often happens that several of the same files are created by several different programs so that the same data stores occur in several places. This of course will cause waste. To overcome this we need a data base. Data Base is a collection of similar data which has a fixed structure. A data base file consists of several records and records consist of several files. Tugas yang paling penting bagi sistem informasi bagi suatu perusahaan adalah pengelohan data. Dalam suatu program aplikasi komputer sering terjadi beberapa file yang sama di buat oleh beberapa program yang berbeda sehingga timbul penyimpanan-penyimpanan data yang sama di beberapa tempat. Hal ini tentu saja akan menimbulkan pemborosan. Untuk mengatasi ini diperlukan suatu data base. Data Base adalah sekumpulan data sejenis yang mempunyai struktur tetap. Suatu file data base terdiri dari beberapa record dan record terdiri dari beberapa filed-filed.
