Perbedaan Keterampilan Sosial Ditinjau dari Tipe Kepribadian Introvert dan Ekstrovert pada Mahasiswa Fakultas Psikologi Universitas Medan Area

Abstract

This study attempts to knowing the difference social skill in terms of personality type introverted and extroverted on students of the faculty university psychology medan area. Social skill is capability someone to dare speak, expressing any feeling or the problems faced by at once found the settlement being adaptive, has the responsibility for which is quite high in all things, considerate before do something, capable of being resisted and said that they did not agree with negative influences of the neighborhood. This research involving 80 person and college students of the faculty of psychology medan area university as the study sample. As for the criteria sample used in this research was each university student 3 the academic year 2016/2017 active go to university in the university of the faculty of psychology medan area. The sample collection done with simple techniques random sampling. The data collected in this research processed by test t-test. A measuring instrument used is scale the social skills and scale of type personality arranged own by researchers. The analysis result of the data shows there is a difference the tests welfare between type personality introverted and extroverted with the coefficients t = 13.148 value p = 0.000. Students with type personality extroverted having mean higher score (x = 122.80) than students with type personality introverted (x = 93.83).
