dc.description.abstractPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh mekanisme corporate governance terhadap manajemen laba. Variabel independen dalam penelitian ini yang digunakan sebagai proksi mekanisme corporate governance, adalah ukuran dewan komisaris, keberadaan komite audit dan investasi. Sedangkan manajemen laba, sebagai variabel dependen, diukur dengan menggunakan dasar rasio modal kerja akrual. Pengumpulan data sekunder dilakukan dengan cara mengunduh data laporan keuangan industri perbankan yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia. Metode pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik purposive sampling, yaitu teknik pengambilan sampel berdasarkan suatu kriteria tertentu. Jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 4 industri perbankan dengan periode penelitian 2012- 2014. Sehingga diperoleh data observasi sebanyak 40 data. Analisis yang digunakan adalah statistik deskriptip dan analisis regresi berganda. Pengujian hipotesis dilakukan dengan menggunakan uji f dan uji t. Data yang digunakan diambil dari laporan keuangan triwulan yang dipublikasikan melalui website www.idx.co.id Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara simultan mekanisme Corporate governance terbukti tidak berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap manajemen laba. Proksi mekanisme Corporate governance lainnya (ukuran dewan komisaris, keberadaan komite audit dan investasi) juga tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap manajemen laba secara parsial.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------This study aims to analyze the effect of corporate governance mechanisms on earnings management. The independent variables in this study that are used as a proxy for the corporate governance mechanism are the size of the board of commissioners, the existence of the audit and investment committee. Meanwhile, earnings management, as the dependent variable, is measured on the basis of the accrual working capital ratio. Secondary data is collected by downloading data from financial statements of the banking industry listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The sampling method used was purposive sampling technique, namely the sampling technique based on certain criteria. The number of samples in this study were 4 banking industries with the study period 2012-2014. So that 40 observational data were obtained. The analysis used is descriptive statistics and multiple regression analysis. Hypothesis testing is done using the f test and t test. The data used are taken from quarterly financial reports published on the website www.idx.co.id. The results show that simultaneously the corporate governance mechanism does not have a significant effect on earnings management. Other corporate governance mechanism proxies (board size, presence of audit and investment committees) also have no significant effect on earnings management partially.en_US
