Perbedaan Tingkat Prokrastinasi Ditinjau dari Tipe Kepribadian the Big Five Personality pada Mahasiswa

Abstract

The aim of this study is to comprehend the difference of procrastination degree terms from the big five personality. The subjects of this research is 148 students of Universitas Medan Area with sampling quota technique. The scale used are the big five personality scale populared by Costa dan McCrae totally 25 item and the scale of procrastinatation by Ferarri, Johnson and McCown, amounting to 35 item. Reliability of personality type scale rbt= 0,909, the reliability of procrastination scale rbt =0,933. Data analysis technique in this study are descriptive data analysis technique. The results of analysis discovered that the difference of procrastination degree terms from the big five personality are Agreebleness with mean 81.37, Conscientiousness with mean 78.90, Ekstraversion with mean 82.43, Neuroticism with mean 109.00, and the last Openness with mean 80.70. Thus procrastination degree of Neuroticism classified high because empirical mean obtained is 109.00 greater of hypothetical mean is 87.5, whereas another personality type have low procrastination degree. From these results, the hypothesis is rejected
