This study aims to determine the effectiveness of shoot pruning and concentration of green bean sprouts growth regulators on the growth and production of cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.), which was carried out in the experimental garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Medan Area, which is located at Jalan PBSI No. 1 Medan Estate, Percut Sei Tuan District. The design used in this study was a factorial randomized block design consisting of 2 treatment factors, namely: 1) the treatment factor of the heading back pruning method with 3 levels, and 2) the treatment factor of bean sprouts growth regulator concentration with 4 levels. This research was conducted with 3 replications. The parameters observed in this study were tendril length (cm), number of leaves (strands), leaf area (m2), fruit circumference (cm), fruit length (cm) and fruit weight per sample plant (g). The results obtained from this study were the shoot pruning treatment had a significant effect on the length of the vine. Leaf area, fruit circumference at the 1st harvest had a very significant effect on leaf number, significantly affected leaf area and fruit weight had no significant effect on fruit length. The treatment of providing bean sprout growth regulator did not significantly affect the length of the plant tendrils, number of leaves, leaf area, fruit length, fruit girth, and fruit weight. The interaction of shoot pruning treatment and administration of bean sprouts had no significant effect on the length of the plant tendrils, the number of leaves, leaf area, fruit length, fruit girth, and fruit weight
