dc.description.abstractPenelitan ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif yang bertujuan untuk menguji secara empiris mengenai Hubungan Antara Minat Belajar dengan Motivasi Melanjutkan ke Perguruan Tinggi. Sejalan dengan landasan teori, maka diajukan hipotesa yang berbunyi ada hubungan positif antara minat belajar dengan motivasi melanjutkan ke perguruan tinggi pada siswa. Dimana Semakin tinggi minat belajar maka semakin tinggi pula motivasi melanjutkan ke perguruan tinggi. Sebaliknya, semakin rendah minat belajar maka semakin rendah pula motivasi melanjutkan ke perguruan tinggi. Penelitian ini melibatkan 145 siswa di SMA Negri 2 Tanjung Balai sebagai subjek penelitian. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik random sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan instrument skala likert untuk skala minat belajar dengan motivasi melanjutkan ke perguruan tinggi. Berdasarkan analisis data, diperoleh hasil terdapat hubungan positif antara minat belajar dan motivasi melanjutkan ke perguruan tinggi.Hasil ini dibuktikan dengan koefisien korelasi, dimana rxy = 0.672 ; p = 0.000 < 0.05. Nilai koefisien determinasi (R square) penelitian dengan nilai sebesar 0.451. Dapat diartikan bahwa variable minat belajar mempengaruhi motivasi melanjutkan ke perguruan tinggisebesar 45,1%, sedangkan sisanya 54,9% disebabkan oleh faktor-faktor lain yang tidak diungkap dalam penelitian ini, seperti : Kecerdasan, perhatian, bakat, dan lingkungan, (Purwanto, 2008). This research is a quantitative study that aims to test empirical data regarding Correlation Study Interest and Motivation to Continue Higher Education. In line with the theoretical foundation, a hypothesis is proposed that says there is a positive relationship between study interest and motivation to continue higher education student’s. Where the higher the study interest, the higher the motivation to continue higher education. Conversely, the lower the study interest, the lower the motivation to continue higher education. This study involved 145studentsat SMA Negri 2 Tanjung Balai as a research subject. Sampling is done by random sampling technique. This study uses the Likert scale instrument to scale study interest with motivation to continue higher education. Based on data analysis, it was found that there was a positive relationship between interest in learning and motivation to continue higher education. This result is evidenced by the correlation coefficient, where rxy = 0.672; p = 0.000 <0.05. The coefficient of determination (R square) of the study was 0.451. It can be interpreted that the variable interest in learning affects the motivation to continue higher education by 45.1%, while the remaining 54.9% is caused by other factors not disclosed in this study, such as: Intelligence, attention, talent, and the environment (Purwanto, 2008).en_US
