Abstract: | Semakin sulitnya memproduksi bahan bakar minyak dapat mamacu kita untuk menemukan terobosan bahan bakar alternatif. The increasing difficulty of producing fuel oil can spur us to find alternative fuel breakthroughs. Coconut dregs and bagasse are biomass containing oil that can be converted into alternative renewable fuels, this can also be realized by the abundance of coconut pulp and bagasse in Indonesia. The objectives of this study were (1) To design a biopelet from a combination of coconut dregs and bagasse mixture. (2) Calculating the lower heating value. (3) Evaluating the composition of the most efficient mixture of ingredients. . The method used in this research is the water boiling test (WBT) method for the effectiveness of the combustion system and the best mixture formulation. The results showed that formulation D (100% coconut) with a heating value of 40441 kj / kg and an efficiency value of 92.30% natural with formulation C (70:30) had a calorific value of 25735 kj / kg and a combustion efficiency of 96.00%, then B (60:40) with a heating value of 25000 kj / kg with a combustion efficiency of 94.11%, then A (50:50) with a calorific value of 21324 kj / kg with a combustion efficiency of 88.88% and finally E (100% sugarcane) with a heating value of 19852 kj / kg and an efficiency value of 90.90%. The difference in combustion efficiency is due to the difference in the calorific value (kj / kg) contained in the biopelet, the higher the heating value, the higher the combustion efficiency. |
