dc.description.abstract | Production line balancing is closely related to mass production. Some production jobs are grouped into several work centers. The time allowed to complete the elements of the work is determined by the production line speed. All workstations should have as possible the same cycle time. If a work station has a time below the ideal cycle time, then the station will have idle time. In CV. Fawas Jaya, the production process on the production floor was still considered not optimal due to the imbalance of the trajectory in the production process which resulted in the length of time to complete a job. The purpose of this study was to find out the efficiency level of the production line at CV. Fawas Jaya by using the Moodie Young method. Where the method was used to determine the balance level of the production line consisted of 3 parts, namely: Line Efficiency, Balance Delay, and Smooth Index. The results showed that in the actual production line arrangement, there were 5 workstations with 7 work elements with Line Efficiency results of 40.29 %, Balance Delay of 59.70%, and Smoothness Index of 9578.22. While the composition of the new production line as a result of research using the Moodie Young method, there were 3 workstations with 7 work elements with Line Efficiency of 67.15%, Balance Delay of 32.84%, and Smoothness Index of 4449.71. Keseimbangan lintasan produksi berhubungan erat dengan produksi massal. Sejumlah pekerjaan produksi dikelompokkan kedalam beberapa pusat-pusat kerja. Waktu yang diijinkan untuk menyelesaikan elemen pekerjaan itu ditentukan oleh kecepatan lintasan produksi. Semua stasiun kerja sebisa mungkin memiliki waktu siklus yang sama. Bila suatu stasiun kerja memiliki waktu dibawah waktu siklus idealnya, maka stasiun tersebut akan memiliki waktu menganggur. Pada CV. Fawas Jaya, proses produksi yang ada dilantai produksi dinilai masih belum optimal karena ketidakseimbangan lintasan pada proses produksi yang mengakibatkan lamanya waktu untuk menyelesaikan suatu pekerjaan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah ingin mengetahui berapa tingkat efisiensi lini produksi pada CV. Fawas Jaya dengan menggunakan metode moodie young. Dimana metode tersebut digunakan untuk mengetahui tingkat keseimbangan lintasan produksi terdiri dari 3 bagian yaitu: Line Efficiency, Balance Delay, dan Smooth Index. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pada susunan lintasan produksi aktual, terdapat 5 stasiun kerja dengan 7elemen kerja dengan hasil Line Efficiency sebesar 40,29%, Balance Delay sebesar 59,70%, dan Smoothness Index sebesar 9578,22. Sedangkan susunan lintasan produksi baru hasil penelitian menggunakan metode Moodie Young, terdapat 3 stasiun kerja dengan 7 elemen kerja dengan hasil Line Efficiency | en_US |
