Abstract: Meningkatnya jumlah kasus covid-19 di Indonesia, pemerintah menerapkan Pembatasan Sosial Berskala Besar (PSBB) dan kebijakan work from home sebagai upaya pencegahan penyebaran covid-19 berdampak pada pelayanan KB di Puskesmas Sentosa Baru Kecamatan Medan Perjuangan Kota Medan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa efektif pelayanan KB dan faktor penghambat pelayanan KB pada masa pandemi covid-19 di Puskesmas Sentosa Baru Kecamatan Medan Perjuangan Kota Medan. Metode penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif, serta melalui teknik pengumpulan data dengan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori Budiani yang merinci bahwa efektivitas diukur dengan tiga indikator yaitu tujuan program, sosialisasi program dan keberhasilan tujuan program. Hasil penelitian yang dilakukan peneliti menunjukkan bahwa pelayanan KB di Puskesmas Sentosa baru belum efektif, dengan penurunan peserta KB aktif sebanyak 4.992 pasangan pada tahun 2020 dan ketakutan yang muncul membuat masyarakat enggan untuk berkunjung ke Puskesmas. puskesmas untuk memberikan pelayanan kontrasepsi. Faktor penghambat efektifitas pelayanan KB di puskesmas adalah terbatasnya p,elaksanaan sosialisasi atau penyuluhan pelayanan KB kepada masyarakat, terbatasnya sarana dan prasarana pelayanan serta rendahnya minat masyarakat untuk berkunjung ke puskesmas.
