This study aims to see the relationship between Parental Support and Self Regulated Learning in students at SMA Negeri 9 Medan. Self regulated learning is the ability in which individuals actively control cognitive processes, motivation and behavior to achieve certain goals that have been applied. Parental support is support or assistance to other family members to make part of the family feel comfortable, appreciated when there is support from the parents. The population in this study were all students at SMA Negeri 9 Medan, amounting to 769 students with a sample size of 10% of the total population of 77 people. Sampling in this study was conducted by using random sampling technique. Both of these scales are arranged using the Likert scale. The results of this study indicate a significant relationship between parental support and self regulated learning. This result is evidenced by the correlation coefficient Rxy = 0.405 with a significance of p = 0.000 < 0.05. Based on the product moment correlation analysis, it can be seen that in general there is a very significant relationship between parental support and self-regulated learning. Thus the hypothesis is accepted. The coefficient of determinant R2 = 0.164. This means that the parental support that students feel has an effect of 16.4% on students' self-regulated learning.en_US
