Abstract: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui studi identifikasi kebutuhan Maslow pada anggota Polisi di Polres Pelabuhan Belawan. Sebagai subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah para anggota polisi yang berusia 17-23 tahun, tinggal di asrama dan bertugas di Polres Pelabuhan Belawan Medan. Penelitian ini menggunakan satu skala yang berbentuk skala Likert, yaitu skala kebutuhan Maslow. Skala ini dibuat peneliti berdasarkan teori dari Maslow (dalam Siagian, 2004), yaitu: kebutuhan fisiologis, kebutuhan akan keamanan, kebutuhan sosial, kebutuhan esteem, dan kebutuhan untuk aktualisasi diri. Hasil penelitian ini adalah diketahui bahwa kelima kebutuhan Maslow, benar-benar menjadi kebutuhan bagi para anggota polisi di Polres Pelabuhan Belawan. Dari 40 orang polisi yang digunakan sebagai sampel penelitian, 17,3 % menyatakan bahwa kebutuhan fisiologis (X1) rnenjadi pilihan mereka, kebutuhan akan keamanan (X2) sebanyak 16,5%, kebutuhan sosial (X3) sebanyak 19,1 %, kebutuhan esteem (X4) sebanyak 25,8%, dan yang terakhir kebutuhan akan aktualisasi diri sebanyak 21,3%. Kemudian secara umum kebutuhan-kebutuhan Maslow pada anggota polisi dinyatakan tinggi sebab nilai rata-rata empirik sebesar 148,18 lebih > daripada nilai rata-rata hipotetik 117,5. This study aims to determine the need identification study Maslow to members of the Police at the Belawan Harbor Police Station. As a subject in In this study, police officers aged 17-23 years, living in dormitory and served at the Belawan Port Police, Medan. Study this using a scale in the form of a Likert scale, namely the need Maslow. This scale was made by researchers based on Maslow's theory (in Siagian, 2004), namely: physiological needs, security needs, social needs, esteem needs, and the need for self-actualization. The results of this study are known that Maslow's five needs, really a necessity for the police officers at the Port Police Belawan. Of the 40 police officers used as research samples, 17.3% stated that physiological needs (X1) became their choice, need security (X2) as much as 16.5%, social needs (X3) as much as 19.1%, esteem needs (X4) as much as 25.8%, and the last need for self-actualization as much as 21.3%. Then in general the needs Maslow on police officers declared high because the empirical average score of 148.18 more than the hypothetical average value of 117.5.
